Krusher is a band coming from Poland and it doesn't play death or black metal, but the purest form of traditional heavy metal. While guys are momentarily preparing to enter the studio and record a new, longer demo, we have here their year 2003 effort. First of all, upon initial listening, it's interesting to notice that all three songs: "Live To Ride-Ride To Live" and "Heavy Metal Krusher" of theirs and a Steppenwolf cover "Born To Be Wild", are actually about motorbikes and riding them. I haven't encountered one such band in a long time. The line-up of this band is consisted of: Łukasz Mackoś "Luke" (lead guitar), Bartosz Wierzbicki "Bolus" (rhythm guitar, also bass on this demo), Łukasz Piotrowski "Nekrol" (bass), Adam Pucykowicz "Fadamas" (drums) and Tomasz Świrdak "Judas" (vocals). And with vocalists pseudonym you pretty much get the idea where their music lies. This is particularly applicable on the first song, where you can here obvious Judas Priest references. Even Tomasz' strange sounding Polish accent gave him a twist to sound more like Halford. This is the song the band could certainly use for their better promotion, because whoever hears it, anbd loves classic heavy metal, will definitely love it too. Plus, it's not too long, thus can't be tiring in any turn of events. "Heavy Metal Krusher" is a bit different. It slows down a bit and settles into more mid-paced rhythm, but it's a bit too long for its own sake. The closing cover of "Born To Be Wild" I didn't like much. It doesn't sound very veritable. I liek the parts where Krusher guys altered the song and added their own signature parts, but the originals that are left, especially with Tomasz' vocal, sounds uninteresting. Still, the two of their songs give us enough material to hope that they'll come up with even better material for the upcoming demo.
