Krusher - Forward
Style: heavy metal

Krusher?!? Who are Krusher some may ask. The answer is easily given. They are a heavy metal band from Poland, inspired by AC/DC, Judas Priest, Manowar and Black Sabbath. They were founded back in November 2002.
Since then the band released two demos (Born To Krush and Keep On Krushin') and one single (The Beast Within). All of them are available for free on Krusher's official site and they already showed that this band had some potencial.
And now finally they released their first full-length record Forward. It was released on January 12th, 2008 and spans all demos and the single and beside that, it also contains new songs, and a new singer: Klaudia Kozień.

The first tune already shows the difference between the demo versions and the current ones. The current ones are far more powerful and they are more melodic (due to the voice and also due to the guitar sound). I really prefer this version of Hell's Angel over the "old one", as it's a more harmonic tune.
The first new tune Lost begins with some nice acoustic part and I have to say that those parts are the better ones of this tune. It's decent but nothing in comparison to The Kingdom Of The False. Lies shows best why the band mentions Manowar as one of their inspiration sources. The battle cries at the beginning are just amazing. The tune itself is a real good one with some catchy rhythm. But nothing in comparison to the following tune: Highway To Hell!
Who doesn't know this classic blues rock tune from AC/DC?!? And this is an kickass version. The singer really sounds like a female version of Bon Scott. This is like all of the covers Krusher did so far (Steppenwolf's PlayBorn to Be Wild, Judas Priest's [track artist=Breaking the Law[/track] and AC/DC's PlayThunderstruck). The female voice really brings some nice, new energy in this evergreen.
Final War is another Manowar-alike tune. It's quite slow but this supports the atmosphere and makes this song sound more epic. The only thing I miss about is the the "Fight and Kill" at the end, like it was on the demo. But therefor it has a perfect lead over to The Kingdom Of The False a really beautiful track that again starts off with acoustic parts, which are only interrupted by the chorus and some really awesome guitar part at the middle. After this two slower and more melodic tunes the record ends with three more heavy tunes that again show the skills of the musicians.
The last tune Born To Krush is a nice outro as it refers to the bands beginnings. It's another higher tempo track like Lies. So what can I say except that they were born to krush and hopefully keep on krushin'?
Right, their career will go on forwards!!!

Good new old school Heavy Metal from Poland!
